'Hey hey, screw Bush'

Over his 40-year career, Neil Young has recorded timely songs like the haunting "Ohio" about U.S. troops murdering American kids at Kent State and the droning "Let's Roll," which managed to make the heroic 9/11 myth about Flight 93 sound downright boring.
Now the 60-year-old Young is about to release a direct attack on George W. Bush with the ham-fisted title of "Impeach the President."
According to anti-Bush blogger and Los Angeles session musician Alicia Morgan, the song was recorded at the old Capitol studios in Hollywood on April 6, just a week ago.
"Let's impeach the president for lying" is the first line of the song, Morgan wrote.
She was
one of a hundred singers called in for the choir recording.
Director Jonathan Demme, who released the Neil Young documentary "Heart of Gold" in February, has heard the finished song. Demme described it as a
"brilliant electric assault on Bush and the war in Iraq."
It's part of a new album called "Living With War,"
Harp Magazine reported Thursday. The whole thing was recorded in three days and is scheduled for release next month.
Unlike "Ohio," which boldly attacked Richard Nixon by name -- as well as the murderous "tin soldiers" of the National Guard -- in an era when the majority of Americans supported both Nixon and the Vietnam War, his latest political song will come at a time when
it's hard to find anyone who still has the stomach to support Bush or his disastrous wars.

maybe it's easier than you think. "screw neil" is more like it. i've been buying his art for 36 years. it really sucks to know that he's hanoi neil. it really sucks to know that he doesn't have enough sense to understand what happens when we fail to unite completely against an enemy like suicidal islam.

bush is a great guy. neil, your fired. your cd's will be out in the dumpster if you want 'em.

I only know one song by Mr. Young, so I am by no means a fan of his music, nore am I real up on his political views or past actions. But anyone who tells Bush to screw off, is A O.K. in my book.

ferstbaseman it's been real enlightening to watch what happens when people like you "unite against an enemy like..." your suicidal shadow. where are those WMDs? marching through the street with the lucky iraqis to welcome the liberating forces i guess.
